To this point

I started looking over some of my past posts to figure out what I've already talked about so I don't repeat.
So here's a summary. Last October marked one year since the last infusion that my specialist had ordered in hopes he would turn this illness around. Other than losing my hair I pretty much have remained the same, no better, no worse. Last time I saw my specialist he was thinking about trying the infusions again, but decided against it since it's so hard on your system and he felt we were lucky that I didn't suffer any bad side effects from the last treatments and he didn't want to risk it. So he is referring me to the University Hospital, which is a training hospital to see what they think. Frankly I think he's run out of ideas and is hoping that they might be able to come up with something. This condition/disease or whatever you call it is not well known, at least the treatment of. There are reasons you can get it, pretty common for people with diabetes, certain surgeries can cause this, but a lot of people who get this all fall under the category....unknown.... this is my type.I cross my fingers that the doctors at the University can come up with an idea, a suggestion because I feel like my own specialist has run out of ideas and if he's out of ideas where do we go from here?
Switching subjects my deck garden did quite well last year. My green peppers turned into a wonderful producing plant and looked beautiful doing it. I've froze lots of green peppers and use them all through the winter and have just ran out. So this year I'm planting green pepper plants, red peppers and yellow. My cherry tomato plant produced really good so again this year I'm planting another plus trying my hand at growing bigger tomatoes from a pot . The zucchini in a big pot didn't do so good. I think it needs to grow in the ground so that's where we planted one this year. The cucumbers, the same thing, not so good in a big pot so they are in the ground too. We also planted in the garden acorn squash because we had great luck with that and good luck with an artichoke plant. My rhubarb is two years old and is big plant. I froze a lot of rhubarb last year and enjoyed it in cobblers and pies. This year I planted all perennials in my pots on the deck. They have beautiful flowers and they come back every year. We also planted them around the yard. I do love the annuals and might get a couple but I'm sticking with the perennials because it's less work with the same beautiful results.
Spring has sprung here... the trees are flowering, my rhododendrons are beginning to bloom, the grass is green and lush, the birds are busy building their nests and singing, the sun's coming out more which makes it warmer and nice outside and all the activities of the summer loom before us.I was telling my husband yesterday as he planted and I supervised how nice it will be to enjoy the beauty of spring and summer for the next five or six months. I'm excited are you?
