Boat in the water!

Yesterday turned out to be a beautiful sunny day and my son arrived that evening and we all loaded up to take the boat out to the lake where it will stay until October.
The park is not open yet to the public just to boat owners who are mooring their boats. We couldn't resist going for a ride around the river. It wasn't the warmest of times but that mattered little because we were on the boat. Saturday's opening day and it's also my husband day off so Friday we will be going to get our fishing licenses so we can be out on the boat early Saturday morning. I grabbed the blanket we keep under the seat of the boat and took it home so it can be washed and put back on the boat. Many a time myself or my kids and grand kids have wrapped up in the blanket on the cold mornings or late evenings. I find floating up and down the river very soothing and relaxing and I always seem to need a little nap so the blanket comes in handy and this year I'm adding a couple pillows because life vests are not that comfortable to use.
I have mentioned before that we have a pontoon boat. It has several little doors that open and depending on how we park decides which door I use. I also mentioned my husband constructed a small aluminum ramp that goes from the dock into the boat for me to roll over to get in the boat or out of the boat. On the boat is a long couch where I generally sit or lay down and nap. I also keep under the boat seat a bed pan. The handicap assessable bathroom at the park is not assessable for me. The bathroom stall is large enough to enter but no room to do anything else that's needed. So I keep a bed pan and large coffee can under the seat in case the need arises. It's come in very handy for many of us when we have been way out on the lake, especially the grandchildren. The lake is large enough that you can find places for privacy.
So I need to find the coffee thermos and get sugar and creamer and plastic spoons gathered up . There is just something about cold mornings on the lake and having hot coffee to drink. A bit of heaven for me. I need to plan some sort of lunch and snacks as we will be out there until the sun goes down and that will be a long time and if you don't have plenty of food and drinks it just takes away from a good time.
So that is my weekend plans. Hubby is also off Monday so who knows Monday may find us on the boat to.
Until
