It's hard for me to blog when hubby is home on his days off.......alternating Thursday-Friday.........Friday-Saturday. I just want to be around him.......he motivates my Eeyore side since he's a Tigger type.
Friday we went to Wal-Mart. We don't go there often as we tend to buy a lot of stuff we need/want, so we save this type of shopping for Christmas or tax refunds......where spending a lot is expected. This is when I don't feel guilty buying new dish towels/dish clothes........and silicon oven mitts! I have wanted a pair of these for a spell now.....hinting to my kids at all holidays.....just met by grunts of this being an icky gift.......true priced at $14.95 for one...... I try to explain I am at an age where I have most everything I want or need.....I don't need a knick knack...........movies.........purfume.........but I've learned I'm beating a dead horse here............so when I saw the mitts for $7.95 each I bought 2! Cloth mitts don't insulate enough for me and my fingers get crazy and bend or get caught up in the fabric and gripping a hot oven item with 2 cloth mitts full of misbehaving fingers....well I've seen my share of burns......silicon has nothing for my fingers to tangle with.....they are heavier but neat...........so I divided my old towels and rags with hubby and camping.
We also bought some Hugh clay planting pots.......stepping up from plastic.....for my cherry tomatoes and peppers. Bought some flowers too which hubby planted in my deck planters. He went to the feed store for more planting soil and came home and hung 2 Hugh fuchsia plants off the front entrance way unbeknown to me.........I squealed like a pig when I spotted them.....I usually attempt my own but am 2 cheap to put the 8-10 plants needed for Hugh ones........so mine are always slightly less..........NEVER NEVER have I had 2 Hugh........already planted and blooming fuchsias.....I am most fortunate.
