After talking to our older son this weekend, it was decided to moor the boat at the Lake again this year.
350-acre North Fork Reservoir in Estacada Oregon. The Marina offers a store,boat renting and supplies (gas,worms) 50+ campsites or you can camp for free off the numerous islands or out of the park into the woods (forest) where you bring all necessities. We do the camping in the woods where there is room for many, the dogs and the ATVs. The men folk scope out future hunting sites as this is their hunting spot too. We like the idea of mooring. It's a half hour country drive to the lake from home, and once there, the boats there. No hauling to and from,no waiting and works well when time is an issue. We moor from May-Oct. and split the cost. The first photo shows our boat, the next the view leaving the marina. Joy on the horizon.........I can't wait!
