Deck Gardening

We bought our home almost 3 years ago. It has a separate fenced garden but not accessible for me, so I do a deck garden and hubby does the other one. One thing annoying about having PN (Peripheral Neuropathy) is the limitations. My electric chair gets bogged down in the grass and even if I could make it to the garden and got out of my chair it would be too painful kneeling and would require 2 people to get me up. So I adjust to deck gardening. You can accomplish a lot here. Big containers work for tomatoes. I plant cherry tomatoes for easy snacking for the grandkids. Strawberries the same. A deck looks beautiful with blooming things not to mention smells good. I can manage this with little help which makes me feel better. My hubby set up a hose and I can water and care for my little garden myself. Maintaining any type of independence is a good thing.
